Ithaca, NY is a real college town. During the academic year, the size of the city doubles. Ithaca College contributes nearly 7000 of these students to the mix, typically arriving on campus after a high school career with at least a B+ average and above average SAT scores. The Communications School is quite popular and well-known. The Business School is strong (with a real-time stock ticker in the new building)as are the performing and fine arts and health sciences. Physical Therapy students earn their doctorate after 5 years at IC and a 6th in Rochester. OT students can earn a Master's after 5 years on campus. Music majors can earn both a performance and education degree.
A lot of construction is currently ongoing at IC. Students typically live in the dorms all 4 years and can take up to 12 credits at Cornell.
