UVM
UVM stands for 'University of the Green Mountains' in Latin. It is the largest college in Vermont with nearly 10,000 undergrads, nearly half of whom will have a major in the College of Arts and Science- one of 7 colleges which make up the University. The others are; Agriculture and Life Science, Business, Education, Engineering, Nursing, and Environmental & Natural Resources. A total of over 90 majors are offered, but the college, like the city and the state for that matter, is and are known for their environmental programs. Freshmen will frequently experience very large classes. The city of Burlington is a great place to be a college student, especially if you are liberal, civic minded, or just love the outdoors.
