Georgetown

Located in Washington, DC, Georgetown is nearly 400 miles from VVille- well past my 200 mile radius- but since I was in the area, I made the mistake of stopping in, just in time to catch DC rush hour afterwards! The first 100 miles of the trip home took 5 hours. The first hour alone found us just 6 miles from campus. Beware the DC traffic!
The college is highly selective; students have an average SAT of nearly 1400 and 4 out of every 5 applicants are rejected. For those who do get in, International Relations, Political Science, and Government are very popular majors. Politics, in general, are of interest to the typical Hoya. Nearly half the junior class studies abroad. Most live on campus and are stereotypically preppy.
Four schools make up the whole; The School of Arts & Science, The School of Foreign Service, The School of Business, and The School of Nursing and Health Science- which is much smaller than the others, accepting only around 80 students per year.
