UPenn

The University of Pennsylvania is actually a little bit outside of my proposed 200 mile radius but, since it's part of the Ivy League, I wanted to see it anyway. Ben Franklin helped get UPenn up and running in the mid 1700's. Today, it is one of the most selective and prestigious schools in the country. The Wharton School of Business is probably the best undergraduate business school in the world. The schools of Engineering and Nursing are also quite strong and well regarded. Most students are part of the School of Arts and Science. Locust Walk runs through the middle of campus and is usually quite active with students on their way to and from class as well as organizations recruiting new members, advertising upcoming events, or protesting or supporting a cause. The giant white button in the center of the College Green has an interesting and infamous reputation.
Matt Belgiovine (VHS '06) attends UPenn ands has a major combining Business and Engineering. He refused comment when asked about the button, however!
